IT Project Manager at the Swedish Agency for Accessible Media
Do you want to strengthen everyone's right to accessible reading? Are you a project manager with an interest in IT? Now you have the chance to contribute to our important democratic mission as an IT Project Manager.
The Swedish Agency for Accessible Media's vision (MTM) is a society where all reading is accessible. We are a national knowledge center for accessible media working to ensure that everyone has access to news, literature, and societal information based on individual circumstances, regardless of reading ability or disability.
About the Job
As an IT Project Manager with us, you will be a key person in the work to develop and modernize MTM's internal digital support. In this role, you will primarily drive IT and digitalization projects that support the organization's support processes, for example, within communication, finance, HR, follow-up, case and document management, and internal collaboration.
You will lead and drive projects from initiation to implementation. In close collaboration with various functions within the organization, IT operations, and external suppliers, you will plan, follow up, and report on the projects' time, cost, quality, and effects.
Your role will be to create structure and direction: ensure clear goals, manage dependencies and risks, and facilitate collaboration between technology and operations. We actively use AI tools in our work, for example, for requirements analysis, planning, follow-up, and risk management, and we welcome your interest in exploring and using such tools in your project management.
Responsibilities
- Support for internal processes (finance, HR, follow-up, decision support)
- Case and document management systems
- Intranet and other collaboration platforms
- Tools and systems for external and internal communication
You are responsible for ensuring that the project's results are anchored within the organization, implemented in a structured manner, and handed over to management with clear roles and responsibilities. You must be comfortable leading meetings, workshops, and presentations for different target groups.
You will belong to the Development and Management unit, where we currently have 18 colleagues. The position is located at our office in Malmö, and we offer the possibility of some remote work.
About You
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to everyone's right to read – by creating robust, effective, and user-friendly internal IT solutions that make it easier for MTM's employees to carry out their mission. You start from the needs of the organization and users and can easily see the big picture – from strategic goals to concrete improvements in the agency's support processes.
You are communicative, structured, and confident in your role as a leader of cross-functional teams. You are collaborative, generous with your knowledge, unpretentious, and curious about new challenges. For you, a positive, inclusive, and solution-oriented work climate is important.
Considering a changing environment and the organization's needs, it is essential that you welcome development, change, and a flexible approach. You use digital tools and AI to analyze, prioritize, and follow up.
We are looking for someone who has
- A university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS) in computer science, information technology, informatics, industrial economics, project management, or equivalent, and at least 2 years of relevant experience leading IT, digitalization, or system development projects, or a post-secondary vocational education (or similar post-secondary education) in IT/system development/project management and at least 3 years of relevant experience leading or driving IT projects.
- Experience in driving IT or digitalization projects from start to finish, including planning, follow-up, and reporting on time, budget, and quality.
- Experience working closely with business specialists in areas such as finance, HR, communication, administration, or similar support functions.
- Good understanding of system development processes and/or implementation of standard systems and cloud services.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have knowledge or experience of
- Project management in the public sector or other regulated activities.
- Implementation or development of intranets and collaboration platforms, tools for internal and external communication, case and document management systems, operational support in finance, HR, or follow-up/analysis.
- Working with accessibility-compliant digital interfaces (WCAG) and user-centric services.
- AI support in project management, for example, for analysis, prioritization, and risk management.
- Change management and implementation support, including training, communication, and follow-up of benefit realization.
You should also
- Have excellent collaboration skills and actively contribute to a positive, inclusive, and learning work environment.
- Be able to work independently, take initiative, and drive issues to completion.
- Be able to prioritize, plan, drive, and structure your own and others' work towards common goals.
